Tom Harland, born in North Ferriby, East Yorkshire and educated at the Hull Regional College of Art has remained true to his roots and exhibits a remarkable affinity to the northern landscape. People identify with the warmth and realism of his paintings that give them a unique view that is forever England.
His paintings are collected around the world, adorn the boardrooms and offices of some of Britain’s most prestigious companies. His Yorkshire openness, honesty and realism are qualities that speak volumes for the man and his work - such that he is best known out of a handful of artists at present living in the East Riding. |

H.M. The Queen was presented with a print of Tom Harland’s ‘Jewel in the Crown’ watercolour in honour of her visit to the Hull 700 celebrations.
B.P. Chemicals, Express Dairies, Ideal Standard, Rixon Financial Services and the Humber Pilots,
to name but a few of the more ‘local’ companies have also commissioned major works in recent years.
Tom’s work can also be found on the P&O cruiseferry, ’Pride of Hull’, and more recently his work was chosen for the Singer and Friedlander / Sunday Times watercolour competition and the 2007 Royal Society of Marine Artists exhibition at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London.
The illustrations featured on this website are only a small selection of originals and prints that are on display in both galleries. |
